இதோ, இரட்சிக்கக் கூடாதடிக்குக் கர்த்தருடைய கை குறுகிப்போகவுமில்லை; கேட்கக் கூடாதபடிக்கு அவருடைய செவி மந்தமாகவுமில்லை.

அவர்கள் தாங்கள் செய்த பாவத்தை அறிக்கையிடவேண்டும்; அப்படிப்பட்டவன் தான் செய்த குற்றத்தினால் அபராதத்தின் முதலோடு ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கை அதிகமாகக் கூட்டி, தான் குற்றஞ்செய்தவனுக்குச் செலுத்தவேண்டும்.

எனவே அவன் தான் செய்த பாவத்தைப் பற்றி ஜனங்களிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டும். பின் அதற்கான அபராதத் தொகையையும் செலுத்த வேண்டும். அதில் ஐந்தில் ஒரு பாகத்தையும் சேர்த்து பாதிக்கப்பட்டவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

நான் வந்தபோது ஒருவனும் இல்லாமற்போனதென்ன? நான் கூப்பிட்டபோது மறுஉத்தரவு கொடுக்க ஒருவனும் இல்லாமற்போனதென்ன? மீட்கக் கூடாதபடிக்கு என் கரம் குறுகிற்றோ? விடுவிக்கிறதற்கு என்னிடத்தில் பெலனில்லாமற்போயிற்றோ? இதோ, என் கண்டிதத்தினாலே கடலை வற்றப்பண்ணி நதிகளை வெட்டாந்தரையாக்கிப்போடுகிறேன்; அவைகளிலுள்ள மீன் தண்ணீரில்லாமல் தாகத்தால் செத்து நாறுகின்றது.

அதற்குக் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: கர்த்தருடய கை குறுகியிருக்கிறதோ? என் வார்த்தையின்படி நடக்குமோ? நடவாதோ என்று, நீ இப்பொழுது காண்பாய் என்றார்.

ஆ, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, இதோ, தேவரீர் உம்முடைய மகாபலத்தினாலும், நீட்டப்பட்ட உம்முடைய புயத்தினாலும், வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உண்டாக்கினீர்; உம்மாலே செய்யக் கூடாத அதிசயமான காரியம் ஒன்றுமில்லை.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுகிறதற்குமுன்னே நான் மறுஉத்தரவுகொடுப்பேன்; அவர்கள் பேசும்போதே நான் கேட்பேன்.

கர்த்தரால் ஆகாத காரியம் உண்டோ? உற்பவகாலத்திட்டத்தில் உன்னிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பவருவேன்; அப்பொழுது சாராளுக்கு ஒரு குமாரன் இருப்பான் என்றார்.

இந்த ஜனங்கள் கண்களினால் காணாமலும், காதுகளினால் கேளாமலும், இருதயத்தினால் உணர்ந்து மனந்திரும்பாமலும், நான் அவர்களை ஆரோக்கியமாக்காமலும் இருக்கும்படியாக, அவர்கள் இருதயம் கொழுத்திருக்கிறது; காதால் மந்தமாய்க் கேட்டு, தங்கள் கண்களை மூடிக்கொண்டார்கள் என்பதே.

ஏதோமிலும் அதிலுள்ள போஸ்றா பட்டணத்திலுமிருந்து, சாயந்தீர்ந்த வஸ்திரங்களுடையவராகவும், மகத்துவமாய் உடுத்திருக்கிறவராகவும், தமது மகத்தான வல்லமையிலே எழுந்தருளினவராகவும் வருகிற இவர் யார்? நீதியாய்ப் பேசி இரட்சிக்க வல்லவராகிய நான்தானே.
