Acts 4:21
યહૂદિ આગેવાનો પ્રેરિતોને શિક્ષા કરવાનો કોઇ રસ્તો શોધી શક્યા નહિ, કારણ કે જે કંઈ બન્યું હતું તેને લીધે બધા લોકો દેવની સ્તુતિ કરતા હતા. (આ ચમત્કાર દેવની સાબિતી માટે પૂરતો હતો જે માણસ સાજો થયો હતો તે 40 વરસથી મોટી ઉંમરનો માણસ હતો.)

પછી સરદાર અને તેના માણસો મંદિરની બહાર ગયા અને પ્રેરિતોને પાછા લાવ્યા. પરંતુ સૈનિકોએ બળનો ઉપયોગ કર્યો ન હતો, કારણ કે તેઓ લોકોથી બીતા હતા. સૈનિકોને લોકોના ગુસ્સે થવાનો અને પથ્થરોથી મારી નાખવાનો ભય હતો.

શાસ્ત્રીઓ અને મુખ્ય યાજકો આ વાર્તા જે ઈસુએ કહી તે સાંભળી. તેઓએ જાણ્યું કે આ વાર્તા તેઓના વિષે હતી. તેથી તેઓ તે વખતે ઈસુને પકડવા ઈચ્છતા હતા. પરંતુ લોકો કંઈ કરશે તો તેવો તેઓને ડર હતો.

પણ જો આપણે કહીએ કે, “યોહાનનું બાપ્તિસ્મા માણસથી થયું હતુ તો પછી બધા લોકો આપણને પથ્થરોથી મારી નાખશે. કારણ કે તેઓ માને છે કે યોહાન એક પ્રબોધક હતો.”

તેઓ ઈસુને પકડવાનો રસ્તો શોધતા હતા. પણ તેઓ લોકોથી ખૂબ ડરતા હતા, કારણ લોકો ઈસુને પ્રબોધક તરીકે માનતા હતા.

લોકોએ આ જોયું અને તેઓ આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા અને લોકોએ દેવની સ્તુતિ કરી કારણ કે દેવે આવો અધિકાર માણસોને આપ્યો.

તેઓએ પ્રેરિતોને ફરીથી અંદર બોલાવ્યા. પ્રેરિતોને માર્યા અને ઈસુ વિષે ફરીથી લોકોને નહિ કહેવા તેઓને કહ્યું. પછી તેઓએ પ્રેરિતોને મુક્ત કર્યા.
Acts 4:17
આપણે તેઓને ધમકી આપવી જાઇએ અને આ માણસ (ઈસુ) વિષે કદી પણ ના બોલવા જણાવવું જોઈએ. જેથી આ વાત લોકોમાં આગળ પ્રસરશે નહિ.”

પણ પિતરે કહ્યું, “મારી પાસે સોનું કે ચાંદી કંઈ નથી. પણ મારી પાસે તને આપી શકાય તેવું બીજું કંઈક છે: ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત નાઝારીના નામથી ઊભો થા અને ચાલ!”

ઘણા લોકો ઈસુને મળવા બહાર ગયા, કારણ કે તેઓએ સાંભળ્યું કે ઈસુએ આ ચમત્કાર કર્યો.

ઈસુ રોજ મંદિરમાં ઉપદેશ આપતો હતો. પણ મુખ્ય યાજકો, શાસ્ત્રીઓ તથા લોકોના મુખીઓ તેને મારી નાખવા ઈચ્છતા હતા.

જ્યારે ઈસુએ આમ કહ્યું ત્યારે જે બધા માણસો તેની ટીકા કરતાં હતા તેઓ શરમાયા અને ઈસુ જે અદભૂત કામો કરતોં હતો તેથી બધાં જ ખુશ થયા.

બધાજ લોકો અચરત પામી ગયા. તેઓ સ્તુતિ કરવા લાગ્યા. લોકો વિશ્વાસથી નવાઇ પામી દેવના સામથ્યૅ માટે તેઓ ખૂબ માનથી બોલ્યા, “આજે આપણે આજાયબ જેવી વાતો જોઈ છે!”
Matthew 26:5
સભામાંના માણસોએ કહ્યું, “આપણે પાસ્ખાપર્વ દરમ્યાન ઈસુને પકડી શકીએ નહિ, આપણા લોકો ગુસ્સે થાય અને ગરબડનું કારણ ઊભું થાય તેમ ઈચ્છતા નથી.”

લોકો આશ્ર્ચર્ય પામ્યા. કારણ કે તેઓએ મૂંગાઓને બોલતાં જોયાં, અપંગ સાજા થયાં, લંગડા ચાલતા થયાં અને આંધળા દેખતાં થયા છે! આથી લોકોએ ઈસ્રાએલના દેવની સ્તુતિ કરી.

ઈસુએ અશુદ્ધ આત્માને હાંકી કાઢ્યો કે તરત જ તે મૂંગો માણસ બોલતો થયો, લોકો આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા અને બોલ્યા: “અગાઉ ઈસ્રાએલમાં આવું કદાપિ જોવામાં આવ્યું નથી.”
