அவர்களில் ஒவ்வொருவனுக்கும் மாற்று வஸ்திரங்களையும் கொடுத்தான்; பென்யமீனுக்கோ முந்நூறு வெள்ளிக்காசையும் ஐந்து மாற்று வஸ்திரங்களையும் கொடுத்தான்.

ஆகையால், நீ துக்கவீட்டில் நுழையாமலும், புலம்புவதற்க்குப்போகாமலும் அவர்களுக்கு பரிதாபப்படாமலும் இருப்பாயாக என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; என் சமாதானத்தையும், கிருபையையும், இரக்கத்தையும், இந்த மக்களைவிட்டு எடுத்துப்போட்டேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

எனவே கர்த்தர், “எரேமியா, மரண உணவு உண்ணும் வீட்டிற்குள் செல்லவேண்டாம். மரித்தவர்களுக்காக அழவும் உனது சோகத்தைக் காட்டவும் நீ போக வேண்டாம். நீ இவற்றை செய்ய வேண்டாம். ஏனென்றால், நான் எனது ஆசீர்வாதத்தைத் திரும்ப எடுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். நான் யூதாவின் ஜனங்களிடம் இரக்கமாக இருக்கமாட்டேன்” என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
