நாங்கள் எப்பக்கத்திலும் நெருக்கப்பட்டும் ஒடுங்கிப்போகிறதில்லை; கலக்கமடைந்தும் மனமுறிவடைகிறதில்லை;

ஆனபடியினாலே நாங்கள் சோர்ந்துபோகிறதில்லை; எங்கள் புறம்பான மனுஷனானது அழிந்தும், உள்ளான மனுஷனானது நாளுக்குநாள் புதிதாக்கப்படுகிறது.

உமக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்கும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு முன்பாக உம்மை நம்புகிறவர்களுக்கும், நீர் உண்டுபண்ணிவைத்திருக்கிற உம்முடைய நன்மை எவ்வளவு பெரிதாயிருக்கிறது!

நான் பயப்படுகிற நாளில் உம்மை நம்புவேன்.

நான் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக ஜீவனுள்ளோர் தேசத்திலே நடப்பேன்.

மரத்தை அதின் கனிகளோடுங்கூட அழித்துப்போடுவோமென்றும், அவன் ஜீவனுள்ளோருடைய தேசத்திலிராமலும், அவன் பேர் இனி நினைக்கப்படாமலும்போக அவனைச் சங்கரிப்போமென்றும், எனக்கு விரோதமாய் ஆலோசனைபண்ணினார்கள் என்பதை அறியாதிருந்து, நான் அடிக்கப்படுவதற்குக் கொண்டுபோகப்படும் சாதுவான ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைப்போல இருந்தேன்.

அதின் விலை மனுஷனுக்குத் தெரியாது; அது ஜீவனுள்ளோருடைய தேசத்திலே அகப்படுகிறதில்லை.

கர்த்தரை, கர்த்தரை, நான் இனி உயிரோடிருக்கிறவர்களின் தேசத்திலே தரிசிப்பதில்லை; இனி பூலோகக்குடிகளோடே இருந்து மனுஷரை நான் காண்பதில்லை.

என் ஆத்துமாவே நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு; அவர் சமுகத்து இரட்சிப்பினிமித்தம் நான் இன்னும் அவரைத் துதிப்பேன்.
