Jeremiah 26:9
Why have you prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.

இந்த ஆலயம் சீலோவைப்போலாகி, இந்த நகரம் குடியில்லாமல் அழிந்து போகும் என்று, நீ கர்த்தருடைய பெயரில் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்வானேன் என்று சொல்லி, மக்கள் எல்லோரும் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் எரேமியாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கூடினார்கள்.

“கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தால் இத்தகைய பயங்கரமானவற்றைச் சொல்ல உனக்கு எவ்வளவு தைரியம் இருக்கவேண்டும். இவ்வாலயம் சீலோவிலுள்ளதைப்போன்று அழிக்கப்படும் என்று சொல்ல எவ்வளவு தைரியம் இருக்கவேண்டும். இந்த ஜனங்களும் வாழாதபடி எருசலேம் வனாந்தரமாகிவிடும் என்று எப்படி தைரியமாக சொல்வாய்?” என்றனர். ஜனங்கள் எல்லோரும் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் எரேமியாவைச் சுற்றிக்கூடினார்கள்.
