Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work: for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts:

ஆனாலும் செருபாபேலே, நீ திடன்கொள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; யோத்சதாக்கின் மகனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் பிரதான ஆசாரியனே, நீ திடன்கொள்; தேசத்தின் எல்லா மக்களே, நீங்கள் திடன் கொள்ளுங்கள், வேலையை நடத்துங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் உங்களுடனே இருக்கிறேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

ஆனால் இப்பொழுது, ‘செருபாபேலே, அதைரியப்பட வேண்டாம்!’ என்று கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார். ‘தலைமை ஆசாரியனாகிய யோத்சதாக்கின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவே, அதைரியப்பட வேண்டாம்! அனைத்து ஜனங்களே, மனம் தளர வேண்டாம். இந்த வேலையைத் தொடர்ந்து செய்யுங்கள். ஏனென்றால் நான் உங்களோடு இருக்கிறேன்.’ சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் இவற்றைச் சொன்னார்.
