Genesis 31:42
Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely you had sent me away now empty. God has seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked you last night.

என் பிதாவின் தேவனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் பயபக்திக்குரியவரும் என்னோடு இல்லாவிட்டால், நீர் இப்பொழுது என்னை வெறுமையாக அனுப்பிவிட்டிருப்பீர்; தேவன் என் சிறுமையையும் என் கடின உழைப்பையும் பார்த்து, நேற்று இரவு உம்மைக் கடிந்துகொண்டார் என்று சொன்னான்.

ஆனால் என் முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவனும், ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் பயபக்திக்குரிய தேவனுமானவர் என்னோடு இருந்தார். தேவன் என்னோடு இல்லாமற் போயிருந்தால் நீர் என்னை ஒன்றும் இல்லாதவனாக ஆக்கி அனுப்பி இருப்பீர். ஆனால் என் துன்பங்களையும், எனது உழைப்பையும் கண்ட தேவன் நேற்று இரவு நான் நியாயமானவன் என்பதை நிரூபித்துவிட்டார்” என்றான்.

என் பிதாவின் தேவனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் பயபக்திக்குரியவரும் என்னோடிராமற்போனால், நீர் இப்பொழுது என்னை வெறுமையாய் அனுப்பிவிட்டிருப்பீர்; தேவன் என் சிறுமையையும் என் கைப்பிரயாசத்தையும் பார்த்து, நேற்று ராத்திரி உம்மைக் கடிந்துகொண்டார் என்று சொன்னான்.
