Ezekiel 18:17
That has taken off his hand from the poor, that has not received interest nor increase, has executed my judgments, has walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

சிறுமையானவனை துன்பப்படுத்தாதபடித் தன்னுடைய கையை விலக்கி, வட்டியும் அதிகமாக வாங்காமலிருந்து என்னுடைய நியாயங்களின்படி செய்து, என்னுடைய கட்டளைகளில் நடந்தால், அவன் தன் தகப்பனுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினால் சாகாமல் பிழைக்கவே பிழைப்பான்.

இவன் ஏழைகளுக்கு உதவுகிறான். ஒருவன் இவனிடம் பணம் கடன் கேட்க விரும்பினால் கடன் கொடுக்கிறான். இவன் அக்கடனுக்கு வட்டி வசூலிக்கவில்லை. இந்நல்ல மகன் எனது நியாயங்களுக்கு அடிபணிந்து எனது நியாயங்களைப் பின்பற்றுகிறான். இந்நல்ல மகன் தந்தையின் பாவங்களுக்காக மரணமடையமாட்டான். இந்நல்ல மகன் வாழ்வான்.
