Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from your fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against your people.

ஆனால் நீர் உமது ஜனங்களை அழித்துவிட்டால் எகிப்தியர்கள், ‘கர்த்தர் அந்த ஜனங்களுக்குத் தீமை செய்யத் திட்டமிட்டார். எனவே அவர்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துச் சென்றார். அவர்களை மலைகளில் கொல்ல விரும்பினார். அவர்களைப் பூமியிலிருந்து நிர்மூலமாக்க எண்ணினார், என்று சொல்வார்கள்.’ எனவே, உமது ஜனங்களிடம் கோபம் கொள்ளாதிரும். உமது எண்ணத்தை மாற்றிக்கொள்ளும்! உமது ஜனங்களை அழித்துவிடாதிரும்.
