சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார் “உங்களது முற்பிதாக்கள் என்னைக் கோபமூட்டினார்கள். எனவே நான் அவர்களை அழிக்க முடிவு செய்தேன். மனதை மாற்றிக் கொள்ளக் கூடாது என்று முடிவு செய்தேன்.” சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்.

the Lord יְהוָ֣ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
of hosts; צְבָאוֹת֒ ṣābāʾ tsa-VA
As כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
I thought זָמַמְ֜תִּי zāmam za-MAHM
to punish לְהָרַ֣ע rāʿaʿ ra-AH
לָכֶ֗ם
provoked me to wrath, בְּהַקְצִ֤יף qāṣap ka-TSAHF
you, when your fathers אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ ʾāb av
אֹתִ֔י ʾēt ate
saith אָמַ֖ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
