Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

பரிசுத்தவானாகிய ஒருவன் பேசக்கேட்டேன்; அப்பொழுது வேறொரு பரிசுத்தவான், பேசினவரை நோக்கி: அனுதின பலியைக்குறித்தும், அழிவை உண்டாக்கும் பாதகத்தைக்குறித்தும், பரிசுத்த இடமும் சேனையும் மிதிக்கப்பட ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவதைக்குறித்தும், உண்டான தரிசனம் எதுவரைக்கும் இருக்கும் என்று கேட்டான்.

பிறகு நான் பரிசுத்தமான ஒருவர் பேசுவதைக் கேட்டேன். பிறகு இன்னொரு பரிசுத்தமானவர் முதலாமவருக்குப் பதில் சொல்வதைக் கேட்டேன். முதலாம் பரிசுத்தமானவர்: “இந்தத் தரிசனமானது தினபலி எவ்வாறு ஆகும் என்பதைக் காட்டுகிறது. இது அழிவுக்குண்டான பயங்கரமான பாவத்தைப் பற்றியது. இது, ஆளுபவரை தொழுதுகொள்ளும் இடத்தை அழித்தால் என்ன ஏற்படும் என்பதையும் காட்டுகிறது. அந்த ஜனங்கள் அந்த இடம் முழுவதையும், அந்த நட்சத்திரங்களையும் மிதிக்கும்போது என்ன நிகழும் என்பதையும் இது காட்டுகிறது. ஆனால் இவையெல்லாம் இன்னும் எவ்வளவு காலம் நடக்கும்?” என்றார்.
