Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shall you say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease you, for the sword devours one as well as another: make your battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage you him.

தாவீது அத்தூதுவனிடம் “யோவாபுக்கு இச்செய்தியைத் தெரிவி: ‘இதைக் குறித்து மிகவும் கலங்காதே, ஒரு வாள் ஒருவனை மட்டுமல்ல, அடுத்தவனையும் கொல்லக் கூடும். ரப்பாவின் மீது தாக்குதலைப் பலப்படுத்து. நீ வெற்றி பெறுவாய்’ இந்த வார்த்தைகளால் யோவாபுக்கு உற்சாகமூட்டு” என்று சொல்லியனுப்பினான்.
