பின்பு தாவீது அமலேக்கியனை நோக்கி, “உனது மரணத்திற்கு நீயே காரணம். கர்த்தர் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த அரசனைக் கொன்றாய் என்று நீயே கூறினாய். உனது வார்த்தைகளே நீ குற்றவாளி என்று தீர்க்கின்றன” என்று கூறினான். பின்பு தாவீது ஒரு இளம் வேலையாளை அழைத்து அமலேக்கியனைக் கொல்லுமாறு கூறினான். எனவே அந்த இஸ்ரவேல் இளைஞன் அமலேக்கியனைக் கொன்றான்.
