அரசனின் குடும்பத்தை மீண்டும் யூதாவுக்கு அழைத்து வருவதில் உதவுவதற்காக ஜனங்கள் யோர்தான் நதியைக் கடந்தனர். அரசன் விரும்பியவாறே ஜனங்கள் செயல்பட்டனர். அரசன் நதியைக் கடந்துகொண்டிருக்கும்போது, கேராவின் மகனாகிய சீமேயி அவனைச் சந்திப்பதற்கு வந்தான். அரசனுக்கு முன் சீமேயி தரையில் விழுந்து வணங்கினான்.
