1 John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

நாம் அவரோடு ஐக்கியம் உள்ளவர்களென்று சொல்லியும், இருளிலே நடக்கிறவர்களாக இருந்தால், சத்தியத்தின்படி நடக்காமல் பொய் சொல்லுகிறவர்களாக இருப்போம்.

ஆகையால் நாம் தேவனோடு நெருக்கமான உறவு உடையவர்கள் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருளில் தொடர்ந்து வாழ்வோமானால், பிறகு நாம் பொய்யர்களாயிருக்கிறோம். அப்படியானால், நாம் உண்மையைப் பின்பற்றாதவர்களாக இருக்கிறோம்.

நாம் அவரோடே ஐக்கியப்பட்டவர்கள் என்று சொல்லியும், இருளிலே நடக்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால், சத்தியத்தின்படி நடவாமல் பொய்சொல்லுகிறவர்களாயிருப்போம்.
