அப்படியே அம்னோன் வியாதிக்காரன்போல் படுத்துக்கொண்டு, ராஜா தன்னைப் பார்க்கவந்தபோது, ராஜாவை நோக்கி: என் சகோதரியாகிய தாமார் வந்து நான் அவள் கையினாலே சாப்பிடும்படிக்கு, என் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக இரண்டு நல்ல பணியாரங்களைப் பண்ணும்படி உத்தரவு கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

அப்படியே அம்னோன் வியாதியுள்ளவன்போல் படுத்துக்கொண்டு, ராஜா தன்னைப் பார்க்கவந்தபோது, ராஜாவை நோக்கி: என்னுடைய சகோதரியான தாமார் வந்து நான் அவளுடைய கையினாலே சாப்பிடும்படி, என்னுடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக இரண்டு நல்ல பணியாரங்களைச் செய்யும்படி அனுமதி கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

அவ்வாறே அம்னோன் படுக்கையில் படுத்து நோயுற்றவன்போல் நடித்தான். தாவீது அரசன் அம்னோனைப் பார்க்க வந்தான். அம்னோன் தாவீது அரசனிடம், “தயவு செய்து எனது சகோதரி தாமாரை உள்ளே வரச்செல்லுங்கள். அவள் என் முன்னே எனக்காக இரண்டு அப்பங்கள் சுட்டுதரட்டும். அப்போது அவள் கையால் ஊட்ட அவற்றை புசிப்பேன்” என்றான்.
