அகித்தோப்பேல் தன் யோசனையின்படி நடக்கவில்லை என்று கண்டபோது, தன் கழுதையின்மேல் சேணம் வைத்து ஏறி, தன் ஊரிலிருக்கிற தன் வீட்டுக்குப்போய், தன் வீட்டுக்காரியங்களை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தி, நான்றுகொண்டு செத்தான்; அவன் தகப்பன் கல்லறையில் அவனை அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

இஸ்ரவேலர் தனது அறிவுரையை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளவில்லை என்று அகித்தோப்பேல் கண்டான். அகித்தோப்பேல் கழுதையின் மேல் சுமைகளை ஏற்றிக்கொண்டான். அவன் நகரத்திலிருந்த தன் வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றான். அவன் தன் குடும்பக் காரியங்களை ஒழுங்குப்படுத்தி, தூக்கு போட்டுக்கொண்டான். அகித்தோப்பேல் மரித்தபிறகு, ஜனங்கள் அவனை அவனது தந்தையின் கல்லறைக்குள் புதைத்தார்கள்.
