அவர்கள் யூதாவில் வந்து, பலாத்காரமாய்ப் புகுந்து, ராஜாவின் அரமனையில் அகப்பட்ட எல்லாப் பொருள்களையும், அவன் பிள்ளைகளையும், அவன் மனைவிகளையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; யோவாகாஸ் என்னும் அவன் குமாரரில் இளையவனை அல்லாமல் ஒரு குமாரனும் அவனுக்கு மீதியாக வைக்கப்படவில்லை.

தன்னோடுகூட போருக்கு வராமலிருக்க, அமத்சியா திருப்பிவிட்ட போர் வீரர்கள், சமாரியாமுதல் பெத்தொரோன்வரை உள்ள யூதா பட்டணங்களைத் தாக்கி, அவைகளில் மூவாயிரம்பேரை வெட்டி, திரளாகக் கொள்ளையிட்டார்கள்.

தன்னோடுகூட யுத்தத்திற்கு வராதபடிக்கு, அமத்சியா திருப்பிவிட்ட யுத்தபுருஷர், சமாரியா துவக்கிப் பெத்தொரோன்மட்டுமுள்ள யூதா பட்டணங்களின்மேல் விழுந்து, அவைகளில் மூவாயிரம்பேரை வெட்டி, திரளாய்க் கொள்ளையிட்டார்கள்.
