Zephaniah 2:13
ఆయన ఉత్తరదేశముమీద తన హస్తమును చాపి అష్షూరు దేశమును నాశనముచేయును; నీనెవె పట్టణమును పాడు చేసి దానిని ఆరిపోయిన యెడారివలె చేయును.

| Assyria; | אַשּׁ֑וּר | ʾaššûr | AH-shoor |
| and will make | וְיָשֵׂ֤ם | wĕyāśēm | veh-ya-SAME |

| Nineveh | נִֽינְוֵה֙ | nînĕwēh | nee-neh-VAY |
| desolation, a | לִשְׁמָמָ֔ה | lišmāmâ | leesh-ma-MA |
| and dry | צִיָּ֖ה | ṣiyyâ | tsee-YA |
| like a wilderness. | כַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ | kammidbār | ka-meed-BAHR |
