యెషయా గ్రంథము 8
1 మరియు యెహోవా నీవు గొప్పపలక తీసికొని మహేరు షాలాల్‌, హాష్‌ బజ్‌1, అను మాటలు సామాన్య మైన అక్షరములతో దానిమీద వ్రాయుము.
2 నా నిమిత్తము నమ్మకమైన సాక్ష్యము పలుకుటకు యాజకుడైన ఊరియాను యెబెరెక్యాయు కుమారుడైన జెకర్యాను సాక్షులనుగా పెట్టెదనని నాతో చెప్పగా
3 నేను ప్రవక్త్రి యొద్దకు పోతిని; ఆమె గర్భవతియై కుమారుని కనగా యెహోవా అతనికి మహేరు షాలాల్‌ హాష్‌ బజ్‌2 అను పేరు పెట్టుము.
4 ఈ బాలుడునాయనా అమ్మా అని అననేరక మునుపు అష్షూరురాజును అతని వారును దమస్కు యొక్క ఐశ్వర్యమును షోమ్రోను దోపుడు సొమ్మును ఎత్తికొని పోవుదురనెను.
5 మరియు యెహోవా ఇంకను నాతో ఈలాగు సెల విచ్చెను
6 ఈ జనులు మెల్లగా పారు షిలోహు నీళ్లు వద్దని చెప్పి రెజీనునుబట్టియు రెమల్యా కుమారునిబట్టియు సంతోషించుచున్నారు.
7 కాగా ప్రభువు బలమైన యూఫ్రటీసునది విస్తార జలములను, అనగా అష్షూరు రాజును అతని దండంతటిని వారిమీదికి రప్పించును; అవి దాని కాలువలన్నిటిపైగా పొంగి ఒడ్డు లన్నిటిమీదను పొర్లి పారును.
8 అవి యూదా దేశములోనికి వచ్చి పొర్లి ప్రవహించును; అవి కుతికల లోతగును. ఇమ్మానుయేలూ, పక్షి తన రెక్కలు విప్పునప్పటివలె దాని రెక్కల వ్యాప కము నీ దేశ వైశాల్య మంతటను వ్యాపించును.
9 జనులారా, రేగుడి మీరు ఓడిపోవుదురు; దూరదేశస్థులారా, మీరందరు ఆలకించుడి మీరు నడుము కట్టుకొనినను ఓడిపోవుదురు నడుము కట్టుకొనినను ఓడిపోవుదురు.
10 ఆలోచన చేసికొనినను అది వ్యర్థమగును మాట పలికినను అది నిలువదు. దేవుడు మాతోనున్నాడు.
11 ఈ జనులమార్గమున నడువకూడదని యెహోవా బహు బలముగా నాతో చెప్పియున్నాడు; నన్ను గద్దించి యీ మాట సెలవిచ్చెను
12 ఈ ప్రజలు బందుకట్టు అని చెప్పునదంతయు బందుకట్టు అనుకొనకుడి వారు భయపడుదానికి భయపడకుడి దానివలన దిగులు పడకుడి.
13 సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవాయే పరిశుద్ధుడను కొనుడి మీరు భయపడవలసినవాడు ఆయనే, ఆయన కోసరమే దిగులుపడవలెను అప్పుడాయన మీకు పరిశుద్ధస్థలముగా నుండును.
14 అయితే ఆయన ఇశ్రాయేలుయొక్క రెండు కుటుంబ ములకు తగులు రాయిగాను అభ్యంతరము కలిగించు బండగాను ఉండును యెరూషలేము నివాసులకు బోనుగాను చిక్కువలగాను ఉండును
15 అనేకులు వాటికి తగిలి తొట్రిల్లుచు పడి కాళ్లు చేతులు విరిగి చిక్కుబడి పట్టబడుదురు.
16 ఈ ప్రమాణవాక్యమును కట్టుము, ఈ బోధను ముద్రించి నా శిష్యుల కప్పగింపుము.
17 యాకోబు వంశమునకు తన ముఖమును మరుగుచేసి కొను యెహోవాను నమ్ముకొను నేను ఎదురుచూచు చున్నాను ఆయనకొరకు నేను కనిపెట్టుచున్నాను.
18 ఇదిగో, నేనును, యెహోవా నా కిచ్చిన పిల్లలును, సీయోను కొండమీద నివసించు సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవావలని సూచనలుగాను, మహత్కార్యములు గాను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్య ఉన్నాము.
19 వారు మిమ్మును చూచికర్ణపిశాచిగలవారియొద్దకును కిచకిచలాడి గొణుగు మంత్రజ్ఞులయొద్దకును వెళ్లి విచారించు డని చెప్పునప్పుడు జనులు తమ దేవునియొద్దనే విచారింప వద్దా? సజీవులపక్షముగా చచ్చిన వారియొద్దకు వెళ్ల దగునా?
20 ధర్మశాస్త్రమును ప్రమాణ వాక్యమును విచా రించుడి; ఈ వాక్యప్రకారము వారు బోధించనియెడల వారికి అరుణోదయము కలుగదు.
21 అట్టివారు ఇబ్బంది పడుచు ఆకలిగొని దేశసంచారము చేయుదురు. ఆకలి గొనుచు వారు కోపపడి తమ రాజు పేరను తమ దేవుని పేరను శాపములు పలుకుచు మీద చూతురు;
22 భూమి తట్టు తేరి చూడగా బాధలును అంధకారమును దుస్సహ మైన వేదనయు కలుగును; వారు గాఢాంధకారములోనికి తోలివేయబడెదరు.
1 Moreover the Lord said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man’s pen concerning Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
2 And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.
3 And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the Lord to me, Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
4 For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.
5 The Lord spake also unto me again, saying,
6 Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;
7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
8 And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
9 Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
11 For the Lord spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,
12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
13 Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
17 And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
18 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
21 And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
22 And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.
Haggai 1 in Tamil and English
1 फारसको राजा दाराको दोस्रो र्बषको छैटौं महिनाको पहिलो दिन हाग्गैलाई परमप्रभुबाट एउटा वचन प्राप्त भयो। यो वचन यरूबाबेल, शालतीएलका छोरा अनि यहोशू यहोसदाकका छोराका निम्ति थियो। शालतीएल यहूदाको राज्यपाल थिए अनि यहोशू प्रधान पूजाहारी थिए। वचन यस प्रकार थियो।
In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
2 सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “मानिसहरू भन्छन्, परमप्रभुको मन्दिर निर्माण गर्ने यो सही समय होइन।”
Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.
3 फेरी परमप्रभुको वचन अगमवक्ता हाग्गैबाट आयो, जसमा भनिएको थियो, तिमीहरू सोच्छौ तिम्रो सही समय आइ सक्यो।
Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4 “परमप्रभुको मन्दिर नष्ट भएको समयमा के तिनीहरू काठको घर निर्माण गरेर बस्ने सही समय आएकोछ भनी सम्झन्छौ?
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
5 यसकारण सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नु हुन्छ, ‘जुन कुरा तिमी माथि घटिरहेछ, त्यसको विषयमा सोच्न छोड।
Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
6 तिमीहरूले रोप्न त धेरै रोप्छौ, तर कट्नी चाँहि कम्ती गर्दछौ। तिमीहरूले खाना त खान्छौ तर भोकै हुन्छौ। तिमीहरूले मद्यपान पनि गर्छौ तर नशा लाग्दैन्, तिमीहरू लुगा पनि लगाउँछौ तर सम्पूर्ण रूपमा तिमीहरूलाई तातो हुँदैन, तिमीहरू काम गरेर ज्याला कमाउँछौ, तिमीहरूलाई थाहा हुँदैन त्यो कहाँ खर्च हुन्छ, तिमीलाई लाग्छ कि गोजीमा छेंड परेकोछ।’”
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
7 सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “जे जति तिमीहरूमाथि घटिरहेछ त्यसको बारेमा सोच!
Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
8 पहाडमा चढ, काठ ल्याऊ अनि मन्दिर बनाऊ। त्यस समय म मन्दिरबाट प्रसन्न हुन्छु र सम्मानित हुन्छु।” परमप्रभुले यी सबै कुराहरू भन्नुहुन्छ।
Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord.
9 सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिमीहरूले धैरे-बाली पाउने आशा गर्छौ, तर थोरै मात्र प्राप्त गर्नेछौ। जे जत्ति तिमीहरूले कमाउँछौ अनि घरमा राख्छौ, त्यसलाई म उडाई दिनेछु। किन? किनकि मेरो मन्दिर नष्ट भएकोछ, तर तिमीहरूलाई आफ्नो-आफ्नो घरको मात्र चिन्ता छ।
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the Lord of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
10 यसकराण, आकाशबाट शीत झर्न बन्द भएकोछ, र यही कारण भूमिले अन्न उब्जाउन बन्द गरेकोछ, यी सबै तिमीहरूको कारणले भएको हो।”
Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
11 परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “मैले पृथ्वी, पहाडहरू, अन्न,नयाँ दाखरस, भद्राक्षको तेल, अनि सबै ती चिजहरू जुन पृथ्वीमा उम्रन्छन् मानिसहरूका र परिश्रममाथि खडेरी पर्न आदेश दिएको छु।“
And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
12 तब शालतीएलका छोरा यरूबाबेल अनि यहोसादकको छोरा महायाजक यहोशूले सबै बाँचेका मानिसहरूसंग आपनो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको सन्देश अनि उहाँले पठाएउनु भएको अगमवक्ता हाग्गैको वचन स्वीकार गरे अनि मानिसहरू आफ्नो परमेश्वर परमप्रभुसंग डराउन थाले।
Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the Lord.
13 परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको सन्देश-वाहक हाग्गैले मानिसहरूलाई परमप्रभुको सन्देश सुनाए। परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, “म तिम्रो साथमा छु।”
Then spake Haggai the Lord’s messenger in the Lord’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the Lord.
14 तब परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले शालतीएलका छोरा यहूदाका राज्यपाल यरूबाबेललाई उत्तेजित गर्नुभयो अनि परमेश्वर परमप्रभुले यहोसादाकका छोरा यहोशूलाई पनि आत्मामा उत्तेजित गर्नुभयो अनि परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले बाँकी सबै मानिसहरूलाई प्रेरित गर्नुभयो। तब तिनीहरू आए अनि तिनीहरूका सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको मन्दिर निर्माणको काम गर्न थाले।
And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,
15 उनीहरूले यो कार्य राजा दाराको दोस्रो र्बषको छैठौं महिनाको चौबिसौं दिनमा शुरू गरे।
In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
