ఒక్క సాక్షి మాట మీద వానికి విధింపకూడదు.

| death of worthy is that he shall | יוּמַ֣ת | yûmat | yoo-MAHT |
| death; to put be | הַמֵּ֑ת | hammēt | ha-MATE |
| but at | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| the mouth | יוּמַ֔ת | yûmat | yoo-MAHT |
| of one | עַל | ʿal | al |
| witness | פִּ֖י | pî | pee |
| he shall not | עֵ֥ד | ʿēd | ade |
