రాజులు రెండవ గ్రంథము 15

1 ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన యరొబాము ఏలుబడిలో ఇరువది మూడవ సంవత్సరమందు యూదారాజైన అమజ్యా కుమారుడైన అజర్యాయేలనారంభించెను.

2 అతడు పదునా రేండ్లవాడై యేలనారంభించి యెరూషలేమునందు ఏబది రెండు సంవత్సరములు రాజుగా ఉండెను; అతని తల్లి యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థురాలైన యెకొల్యా.

3 ఇతడు తన తండ్రియైన అమజ్యా చర్య యంతటిప్రకారము యెహోవా దృష్టికి నీతిగలవాడై ప్రవర్తించెను.

4 ఉన్నత స్థలములను మాత్రము కొట్టి వేయలేదు; ఉన్నత స్థలముల యందు జనులు ఇంకను బలులు అర్పించుచు ధూపము వేయుచు ఉండిరి.

5 యెహోవా ఈ రాజును మొత్తినందున అతడు మరణమగువరకు కుష్ఠరోగియై ప్రత్యేక ముగా ఒక నగరులో నివసించెను గనుక రాజకుమారుడైన యోతాము నగరుమీద అధికారియై దేశపు జనులకు న్యాయము తీర్చువాడుగా ఉండెను.

6 అజర్యా చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన దాని నంత టినిగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథ మందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

7 అజర్యా తన పితరు లతోకూడ నిద్రించి దావీదు పురములో తన పితరుల సమాధియందు పాతిపెట్టబడగా అతని కుమారుడైన యోతాము అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

8 యూదారాజైన అజర్యా యేలుబడిలో ముప్పది యెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమందు యరొబాము కుమారుడైన జెకర్యా షోమ్రోనులో ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని ఆరునెలలు ఏలెను.

9 ఇతడు ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడగు నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము చేసిన పాపములను విడువక అనుసరించుచు, తన పితరులు చేసి నట్లుగా తానును యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడుతనము జరి గించెను.

10 యాబేషు కుమారుడైన షల్లూము అతనిమీద కుట్రచేసి, జనులు చూచుచుండగా అతనిమీద పడి అతనిని చంపి అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

11 ​జెకర్యా చేసిన కార్యములనుగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

12 నీ కుమారులు నాలుగవ తరమువరకు ఇశ్రాయేలు సింహాసనముమీద ఆసీనులై యుందురని యెహోవా యెహూతో సెలవిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున ఇది జరిగెను.

13 యూదారాజైన ఉజ్జియా యేలుబడిలో ముప్పది తొమి్మదవ సంవత్సరమందు యాబేషు కుమారుడైన షల్లూము ఏలనారంభించి షోమ్రోనులో నెల దినములు ఏలెను.

14 గాదీ కుమారుడైన మెనహేము తిర్సాలోనుండి బయలుదేరి షోమ్రోనునకు వచ్చి షోమ్రోనులోనుండు యాబేషు కుమారుడైన షల్లూముమీద పడి అతని చంపి అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

15 షల్లూము చేసిన యితర కార్య ములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన కుట్రనుగూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయ బడియున్నది.

16 మెనహేము రాగా తిప్సహు పట్టణపు వారు తమ గుమ్మములు తీయలేదు గనుక అతడు వారినంద రిని హతము చేసి, తిర్సాను దాని చేరువ గ్రామములనన్నిటిని కొల్లపెట్టి అచ్చట గర్భిéణులందరి గర్భములను చింపెను.

17 యూదారాజైన అజర్యా యేలుబడిలో ముప్పదితొమి్మ దవ సంవత్సరమందు గాదీ కుమారుడైన మెనహేము ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని ఏలనారంభించి షోమ్రోనులో పది సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

18 ​ఇతడును తన దినములన్నియు ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడగు నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము చేసిన పాపములను విడువక యనుసరించుచు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడుతనము జరిగించెను.

19 అష్షూరు రాజైన పూలు దేశముమీదికి రాగా, మెనహేము తనకు రాజ్యము స్థిరపరచునట్లుగా పూలుచేత సంధి చేయించుకొనవలెనని రెండు వేల మణుగుల వెండి పూలునకు ఇచ్చెను.

20 ​మెనహేము ఇశ్రా యేలులో భాగ్యవంతులైన గొప్పవారిలో ప్రతి మనిషి యొద్దను ఏబదేసి తులముల వెండి వసూలుచేసి యీ ద్రవ్య మును అష్షూరు రాజునకిచ్చెను గనుక అష్షూరురాజు దేశ మును విడిచి వెళ్లిపోయెను.

21 మెనహేము చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన దానినంతటిని గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

22 ​మెనహేము తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించిన తరువాత అతని కుమారుడైన పెకహ్యా అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

23 ​యూదారాజైన అజర్యా యేలుబడిలో ఏబదియవ సంవత్సరమందు మెనహేము కుమారుడైన పెకహ్యా షోమ్రోనులో ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని ఏలనారంభించి రెండు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

24 ​ఇతడును ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడగు నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము చేసిన పాపములను విడువక అనుసరించుచు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడుతనము జరిగించెను.

25 ​ఇతని క్రింద అధిపతియు రెమల్యా కుమారుడునైన పెకహు కుట్ర చేసి, తనయొద్దనున్న గిలాదీయులైన యేబది మందితోను, అర్గోబుతోను, అరీహేనుతోను కలిసికొని షోమ్రోనులోనున్న రాజనగరులోని అంతఃపురమందు అతనిని చంపి, పెకహ్యాకు మారుగా రాజాయెను.

26 ​పెకహ్యా చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసినదాని నంత టినిగూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

27 ​యూదారాజైన అజర్యా యేలుబడిలో ఏబదిరెండవ సంవత్సరమందు రెమల్యా కుమారుడైన పెకహు షోమ్రో నులో ఇశ్రాయేలును ఏలనారంభించి యిరువది సంవత్సర ములు ఏలెను.

28 ఇతడును ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడగు నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము చేసిన పాపములను విడువక అనుసరించుచు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడుతనము జరిగించెను.

29 ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన పెకహు దినములలో అష్షూరురాజైన తిగ్లత్పిలేసెరు వచ్చి ఈయోను పట్టణమును, ఆబేల్బేత్మయకా పట్టణమును, యానోయహు పట్టణమును, కెదెషు పట్టణమును, హాసోరు పట్టణమును, గిలాదు దేశమును, గలిలయ దేశమును,నఫ్తాలీ దేశమంతయును పట్టుకొని అచ్చట నున్నవారిని అష్షూరు దేశమునకు చెరగా తీసికొని పోయెను.

30 అప్పుడు ఏలా కుమారుడైన హోషేయ ఇశ్రాయేలురాజును రెమల్యా కుమారుడునైన పెకహుమీద కుట్రచేసి, అతనిమీద పడి అతని చంపి, యూదా రాజైన ఉజ్జియా కుమారుడైన యోతాము ఏలుబడిలో ఇరువదియవ సంవత్సరమున అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

31 ​పెకహు చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన దానినంతటిని గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయ బడియున్నది.

32 ఇశ్రాయేలురాజును రెమల్యా కుమారుడునైన పెకహు ఏలుబడిలో రెండవ సంవత్సరమున యూదారాజైన ఉజ్జియా కుమారుడగు యోతాము ఏలనారంభించెను.

33 అతడు ఇరువది యయిదేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేమునందు రాజై పదునారు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను. అతని తల్లి సాదోకు కుమార్తెయైన యెరూషా.

34 ​ఇతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి నీతిగా ప్రవర్తించి తన తండ్రియైన ఉజ్జియా చర్యను పూర్తిగా అనుసరించెను.

35 అయినను ఉన్నత స్థల ములను కొట్టివేయకుండెను; జనులు ఉన్నత స్థలములందు ఇంకను బలుల నర్పించుచు ధూపము వేయుచునుండిరి. ఇతడు యెహోవా మందిరమునకున్న యెత్తయిన ద్వార మును కట్టించెను.

36 ​యోతాము చేసిన యితర కార్యము లనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసినదాని నంతటినిగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

37 ​ఆ దినములో యెహోవా సిరియారాజైన రెజీనును రెమల్యా కుమారుడైన పెకహును యూదా దేశముమీదికి పంపనారంభించెను.

38 ​​యోతాము తన పిత రులతో కూడ నిద్రించి తన పితరుడైన దావీదు పురమందు తన పితరుల సమాధిలో పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతని కుమారుడైన ఆహాజు అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

1 In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

2 Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

4 Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

5 And the Lord smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

6 And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7 So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

8 In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.

9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

10 And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

11 And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12 This was the word of the Lord which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

13 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

14 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16 Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

17 In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

18 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

19 And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

20 And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

21 And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

22 And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

25 But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

26 And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

27 In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

28 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

30 And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

31 And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

33 Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

34 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

35 Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the Lord.

36 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

37 In those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
