వారు దాటుచుండగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెదుట నుండి యెహోవా యొర్దాను నీళ్లను ఎండచేసిన సంగతి యొర్దానుకు పడమటిదిక్కుననున్న అమోరీయుల రాజు లందరును సముద్రమునొద్దనున్న కనానీయుల రాజు లందరును వినినప్పుడు వారి గుండెలు చెదరిపోయెను. ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల భయముచేత వారి కిక ధైర్యమేమియు లేక పోయెను.
