Joshua 11
1 హాసోరు రాజైన యాబీను జరిగినవాటినిగూర్చి విని మాదోనురాజైన యోబాబుకును షిమ్రోను రాజుకును అక్షాపు రాజుకును
2 ఉత్తరదిక్కుననున్న మన్యదేశములోను కిన్నెరెతు దక్షిణదిక్కుననున్న అరా బాలోను షెఫేలా లోను పడమటనున్న దోరు మన్యములోను ఉన్న రాజు లకును
3 తూర్పు పడమటి దిక్కులయందలి కనానీయుల కును అమోరీయులకును హిత్తీయులకును పెరిజ్జీయులకును మన్యములోనున్న యెబూసీయులకును మిస్పా దేశమందలి హెర్మోను దిగువనుండు హివ్వీయులకును వర్తమానము పంపగా
4 వారు సముద్రతీరమందలి యిసుకరేణువులంత విస్తారముగానున్న తమ సైనికులనందరిని సమకూర్చుకొని, విస్తారమైన గుఱ్ఱములతోను రథములతోను బయలుదేరిరి.
5 ఆ రాజులందరు కూడుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు మేరోము నీళ్లయొద్దకు వచ్చిదిగగా
6 యెహోవా వారికి భయపడకుము, రేపు ఈ వేళకు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల చేత సంహరింపబడిన వారినిగా నేను వారినందరిని అప్ప గించెదను. నీవు వారి గుఱ్ఱముల గుదికాలి నరమును తెగకోసి వారి రథములను అగ్నిచేత కాల్చుదువని యెహోషు వతో సెలవిచ్చెను.
7 కాబట్టి యెహోషువయు అతనితో కూడనున్న యోధులందరును హఠాత్తుగా మేరోము నీళ్ల యొద్దకు వారిమీదికి వచ్చి వారిమీద పడగా
8 యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల చేతికి వారిని అప్పగించెను. వీరు వారిని హతముచేసి మహాసీదోనువరకును మిశ్రేపొత్మాయిమువర కును తూర్పువైపున మిస్పే లోయవరకును వారిని తరిమి నిశ్శేషముగా చంపిరి.
9 యెహోవా యెహోషువతో సెల విచ్చినట్లు అతడు వారికి చేసెను. అతడు వారి గుఱ్ఱముల గుదికాలి నరమును తెగకోసి వారి రథములను అగ్నితో కాల్చి వేసెను.
10 ఆ కాలమున యెహోషువ వెనుకకు తిరిగి హాసోరును పట్టుకొని దాని రాజును కత్తివాతను హతము చేసెను. పూర్వము హాసోరు ఆ సమస్త రాజ్యములకు ప్రధానము.
11 ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు దానిలోనున్న ప్రతి వానిని కత్తివాతను హతముచేసిరి. ఎవరును తప్పించుకొనకుండ యెహోషువ వారినందరిని నిర్మూలము చేసెను. అతడు హాసోరును అగ్నితో కాల్చివేసెను.
12 యెహోషువ ఆ రాజులనందరిని హతముచేసి వారి పట్టణములను పట్టుకొని కొల్లబెట్టెను; యెహోవా సేవ కుడైన మోషే ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు అతడు వారిని నిర్మూలము చేసెను.
13 అయితే యెహోషువ హాసో రును కాల్చి వేసెనుగాని మెట్టలమీద కట్టబడియున్న పట్టణ ములను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు కాల్చివేయలేదు.
14 ఆ పట్టణ ముల సంబంధమైన కొల్లసొమ్మును పశువులను ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు దోచుకొనిరి. నరులలో ఒకనిని విడువకుండ అందరిని నశింపజేయువరకు కత్తివాతను హతము చేయుచు వచ్చిరి.
15 యెహోవా తన సేవకుడైన మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించి నట్లు మోషే యెహోషువకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను, యెహోషువ ఆలాగే చేసెను. యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన వాటన్నిటిలో నొకటియు అతడు చేయక విడువలేదు.
16 యెహోషువ శేయీరుకు పోవు హాలాకు కొండ మొదలుకొని
17 లెబానోను లోయలో హెర్మోను కొండ దిగువనున్న బయల్గాదువరకు ఆ దేశమంతటిని, అనగా మన్యమును దక్షిణదేశమంతటిని గోషేనుదేశమంతటిని షెఫేలాప్రదేశమును మైదానమును ఇశ్రాయేలు కొండ లను వాటి లోయలను వాటి రాజులనందరిని పట్టుకొని వారిని కొట్టిచంపెను.
18 బహుదినములు యెహోషువ ఆ రాజులందరితో యుద్ధము చేసెను. గిబియోను నివాసు లైన హివ్వీయులుగాక
19 ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో సంధిచేసిన పట్టణము మరి ఏదియులేదు. ఆ పట్టణములన్నిటిని వారు యుద్ధములో పట్టుకొనిరి.
20 వారిని నిర్మూలము చేయుడని యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు కనికరింపక వారిని నాశనముచేయు నిమిత్తము వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చునట్లు యెహోవా వారి హృదయములను కఠినపరచియుండెను.
21 ఆ కాలమున యెహోషువ వచ్చి మన్యదేశములోను, అనగా హెబ్రోనులోను దెబీరులోను అనాబులోను యూదా మన్యములన్నిటిలోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మన్య ప్రదేశములన్నిటిలోను ఉన్న అనాకీయులను నాశనము చేసెను. యెహోషువ వారిని వారి పట్టణములను నిర్మూలము చేసెను.
22 ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేశమందు అనాకీయు లలో ఎవడును మిగిలియుండలేదు; గాజాలోను గాతు లోను అష్డోదులోను మాత్రమే కొందరు మిగిలియుండిరి.
23 యెహోవా మోషేతో చెప్పినట్లు యెహోషువ దేశ మంతటిని పట్టుకొనెను. యెహోషువ వారి గోత్రముల చొప్పున ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా దాని నప్ప గించెను. అప్పుడు యుద్ధములేకుండ దేశము సుభిక్షముగా నుండెను.
1 And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
2 And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west,
3 And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
4 And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
6 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
7 So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
8 And the Lord delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.
9 And Joshua did unto them as the Lord bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.
11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.
12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the Lord commanded.
13 But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn.
14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.
15 As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses.
16 So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
17 Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.
18 Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle.
20 For it was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded Moses.
21 And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.
22 There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained.
23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

1 నీతిమంతులు నశించుట చూచి యెవరును దానిని మనస్సున పెట్టరు భక్తులైనవారు తీసికొనిపోబడుచున్నారు కీడు చూడకుండ నీతిమంతులు కొనిపోబడుచున్నారని యెవనికిని తోచదు.
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2 వారు విశ్రాంతిలో ప్రవేశించుచున్నారు తమకు సూటిగానున్న మార్గమున నడచువారు తమ పడకలమీద పరుండి విశ్రమించుచున్నారు.
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
3 మంత్రప్రయోగపు కొడుకులారా, వ్యభిచార సంతానమా, వేశ్యాసంతానమా, మీరక్కడికి రండి.
But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
4 మీరెవని ఎగతాళి చేయుచున్నారు? ఎవని చూచి నోరు తెరచి నాలుక చాచుచున్నారు? మీరు తిరుగుబాటు చేయువారును అబద్ధికులును కారా?
Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
5 మస్తచావృక్షములను చూచి పచ్చని ప్రతిచెట్టు క్రిందను కామము రేపుకొనువారలారా, లోయలలో రాతిసందులక్రింద పిల్లలను చంపువార లారా,
Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?
6 నీ భాగ్యము లోయలోని రాళ్లలోనే యున్నది అవియే నీకు భాగ్యము, వాటికే పానీయార్పణము చేయుచున్నావు వాటికే నైవేద్యము నర్పించుచున్నావు.ఇవన్నియు జరుగగా నేను ఊరకుండదగునా?
Among the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
7 ఉన్నతమైన మహాపర్వతముమీద నీ పరుపు వేసి కొంటివి బలి అర్పించుటకు అక్కడికే యెక్కితివి తలుపువెనుకను ద్వారబంధము వెనుకను నీ జ్ఞాపకచిహ్నము ఉంచితివి
Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
8 నాకు మరుగై బట్టలు తీసి మంచమెక్కితివి నీ పరుపు వెడల్పుచేసికొని నీ పక్షముగా వారితో నిబంధన చేసితివి నీవు వారి మంచము కనబడిన చోట దాని ప్రేమిం చితివి.
Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself to another than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.
9 నీవు తైలము తీసికొని రాజునొద్దకు పోతివి పరిమళ ద్రవ్యములను విస్తారముగా తీసికొని నీ రాయబారులను దూరమునకు పంపితివి పాతాళమంత లోతుగా నీవు లొంగితివి
And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.
10 నీ దూరప్రయాణముచేత నీవు ప్రయాసపడినను అది అసాధ్యమని నీవనుకొనలేదు నీవు బలము తెచ్చుకొంటిని గనుక నీవు సొమ్మసిల్లలేదు.
Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
11 ఎవనికి జడిసి భయపడినందున ఆ సంగతి మనస్కరింపకపోతివి? నీవు కల్లలాడి నన్ను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనకపోతివి బహుకాలమునుండి నేను మౌనముగానుండినందు ననే గదా నీవు నాకు భయపడుట లేదు?
And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
12 నీ నీతి యెంతో నేనే తెలియజేసెదను, నీ క్రియలు నీకు నిష్‌ప్రయోజనములగును.
I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
13 నీవు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టునప్పుడు నీ విగ్రహముల గుంపు నిన్ను తప్పించునేమో గాలి వాటినన్నిటిని ఎగరగొట్టును గదా? ఒకడు ఊపిరి విడిచినమాత్రమున అవియన్నియు కొట్టుకొనిపోవును నన్ను నమ్ముకొనువారు దేశమును స్వతంత్రించు కొందురు నా పరిశుద్ధ పర్వతమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొందురు.
When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
14 ఎత్తుచేయుడి ఎత్తుచేయుడి త్రోవను సిద్ధపరచుడి, అడ్డు చేయుదానిని నా జనుల మార్గములోనుండి తీసివేయుడి అని ఆయన ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు.
And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
15 మహా ఘనుడును మహోన్నతుడును పరిశుద్ధుడును నిత్యనివాసియునైనవాడు ఈలాగు సెల విచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను మహోన్నతమైన పరిశుద్ధస్థలములో నివసించు వాడను అయినను వినయముగలవారి ప్రాణమును ఉజ్జీవింప జేయుటకును నలిగినవారి ప్రాణమును ఉజ్జీవింపజేయుటకును వినయముగలవారియొద్దను దీనమనస్సుగలవారియొద్దను నివసించుచున్నాను.
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 నేను నిత్యము పోరాడువాడను కాను ఎల్లప్పుడును కోపించువాడను కాను ఆలాగుండినయెడల నా మూలముగా జీవాత్మ క్షీణిం చును నేను పుట్టించిన నరులు క్షీణించిపోవుదురు.
For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
17 వారి లోభమువలన కలిగిన దోషమునుబట్టి నేను ఆగ్రహపడి వారిని కొట్టితిని నేను నా ముఖము మరుగుచేసికొని కోపించితిని వారు తిరుగబడి తమకిష్టమైన మార్గమున నడచుచు వచ్చిరి.
For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
18 నేను వారి ప్రవర్తనను చూచితిని వారిని స్వస్థపరచుదును వారిని నడిపింతును వారిలో దుఃఖించువారిని ఓదార్చుదును.
I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
19 వారిలో కృతజ్ఞతాబుద్ధి పుట్టించుచు దూరస్థులకును సమీపస్థులకును సమాధానము సమా ధానమని చెప్పి నేనే వారిని స్వస్థపరచెదనని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడు.
I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.
20 భక్తిహీనులు కదలుచున్న సముద్రమువంటివారు అది నిమ్మళింపనేరదు దాని జలములు బురదను మైలను పైకివేయును.
But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 దుష్టులకు నెమ్మదియుండదని నా దేవుడు సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడు.
There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
