ఆయన శిష్యులు ఈ మాటలు మొదట గ్రహింపలేదు గాని యేసు మహిమ పరచబడినప్పుడు అవి ఆయనను గూర్చి వ్రాయబడెననియు, వారాయనకు వాటిని చేసిరనియు జ్ఞాపకమునకు తెచ్చు కొనిరి.
