Hosea 2
1 మీరు నా జనులని మీ సహోదరులతోను జాలి నొందినవారని మీ స్వదేశీయులతోను మీరు చెప్పుడి.
2 నేను దాని బట్టలను పెరికివేసి పుట్టిన నాటివలె దానిని దిగంబరురాలినిగాచేసి, పాడు పెట్టి యెండిపోయిన భూమి వలెను ఉంచి, దప్పిచేత లయపరచకుండునట్లు,
3 మీ తల్లి పోకిరి చూపు చూడకయు దాని స్తనములకు పురుషులను చేర్చుకొనకయు నుండునట్లు మీరు ఆమెతో వాదించుడి; అది నాకు భార్య కాదు, నేను దానికి పెనిమిటిని కాను;
4 దాని పిల్లలు జారసంతతియై యున్నారు, వారి తల్లి వేశ్యాత్వము చేసియున్నది, వారిని కన్నది అవమానకర మైన వ్యాపారము చేయునది గనుక వారియందు నేను జాలిపడను.
5 అదినాకు అన్నపానములను గొఱ్ఱ బొచ్చును జనుపనారయు తైలమును మద్యమును ఇచ్చిన నా విటకాండ్రను నేను వెంటాడుదుననుకొనుచున్నది.
6 ముండ్ల కంచె దాని మార్గములకు అడ్డము వేయుదును; దాని మార్గములు దానికి కనబడకుండ గోడ కట్టుదును.
7 అది తన విటకాండ్రను వెంటాడి వారిని ఎదుర్కొనలేక పోవును; ఎంత వెదకినను వారు దానికి కనబడకయుందురు. అప్పుడు అదిఇప్పటి కంటె పూర్వమే నా స్థితి బాగుగ నుండెను గనుక నేను తిరిగి నా మొదటి పెనిమిటియొద్దకు వెళ్లుదు ననుకొనును.
8 దానికి ధాన్య ద్రాక్షారసతైలము లను విస్తారమైన వెండి బంగారములను ఇచ్చినవాడను నేనే యని విచారింపక అది వాటిని బయలుదేవతకు ఉప యోగపరచెను.
9 కాబట్టి నా ధాన్యమును నా ద్రాక్షా రసమును వాటి వాటి కాలములలో ఇయ్యక దీనియొద్ద నుండి తీసివేసెదను. దాని మాన సంరక్షణార్థమైన నా గొఱ్ఱబొచ్చును జనుపనారయు దానికి దొరకకుండ నేను ఉంచుకొందును;
10 దాని విటకాండ్రు చూచుచుండగా నేను దాని పోకిరితనమును బయలుపరతును, నా చేతిలో నుండి దాని విడిపించువాడొకడును లేకపోవును.
11 దాని ఉత్సవకాలములను పండుగలను అమావాస్యలను విశ్రాంతి దినములను నియామకకాలములను మాన్పింతును.
12 ఇవి నా విటకాండ్రు నాకిచ్చినజీతమని అది తన ద్రాక్ష చెట్లను గూర్చియు అంజూరపుచెట్లనుగూర్చియు చెప్పినది గదా. నేను వాటిని లయపరతును, అడవిజంతువులు వాటిని భక్షించునట్లు వాటిని అడవివలె చేతును.
13 అది నన్ను మరచిపోయి నగలుపెట్టుకొని శృంగారించుకొని బయలుదేవతలకు ధూపమువేసి యుండుటను బట్టియు దాని విటకాండ్రను వెంటాడియుండుటనుబట్టియు నేను దానిని శిక్షింతును; ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
14 పిమ్మట దానిని ఆకర్షించి అరణ్యములోనికి కొనిపోయి అక్కడ దానితో ప్రేమగా మాటలాడుదును;
15 అక్కడనుండి దానిని తోడుకొనివచ్చి దానికి ద్రాక్షచెట్లనిత్తును; ఆకోరు (శ్రమగల) లోయను నిరీక్షణద్వారముగా చేసెదను, బాల్యమున ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనుండి అది వచ్చినప్పుడు నా మాట వినినట్లు
16 అది ఇచ్చటనుండి నా మాట వినును; నీవుబయలు అని నన్ను పిలువకనా పురుషుడవు2 అని పిలుతువు, ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.
17 అది ఇక మీదట బయలుదేవతల పేళ్లను జ్ఞాపకమునకు తెచ్చుకొన కుండను అవి దాని నోట రాకుండను నేను చేసెదను.
18 ఆ దినమున నేను నా జనులపక్షముగా భూజంతువుల తోను ఆకాశపక్షులతోను నేలను ప్రాకుజంతువులతోను నిబంధన చేయుదును. విల్లును ఖడ్గమును యుద్ధమును దేశ ములో ఉండకుండ మాన్పించి వారిని నిర్భయముగా నివ సింపజేయుదును.
19 నీవు నిత్యము నాకుండునట్లుగా నేను నీతినిబట్టి తీర్పుతీర్చుటవలనను, దయాదాక్షిణ్యములు చూపుటవలనను నిన్ను ప్రధానము చేసికొందును.
20 నీవు యెహోవాను ఎరుగునట్లు నేను నమ్మకమునుబట్టి నిన్ను ప్రధానము చేసికొందును.
21 ఆ దినమున నేను మనవి ఆలకింతును; ఆకాశపు మనవి నేను ఆలకింపగా అది భూమియొక్క మనవి ఆలకించును;
22 భూమి ధాన్య ద్రాక్షారసతైలముల మనవి ఆలకింపగా అవి యెజ్రెయేలు3 చేయు మనవి ఆలకించును.
23 నేను దానిని భూమియందు నాకొరకై విత్తుదును; జాలినొందని దానియందు నేను జాలిచేసి కొందును; నా జనము కానివారితోమీరే నా జనమని నేను చెప్పగా వారునీవే మా దేవుడవు అని యందురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.
1 Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.
5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the Lord.
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
16 And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
1 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;
2 And came even before the king’s gate: for none might enter into the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth.
3 And in every province, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.
4 So Esther’s maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
5 Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king’s chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.
6 So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king’s gate.
7 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
9 And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
10 Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
11 All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
12 And they told to Mordecai Esther’s words.
13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
17 So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
