Genesis 50:25
మరియు యోసేపు దేవుడు నిశ్చయముగా మిమ్మును చూడవచ్చును; అప్పుడు మీరు నా యెముకలను ఇక్కడనుండి తీసికొని పోవలెనని చెప్పి ఇశ్రాయేలు కుమారులచేత ప్రమాణము చేయించు కొనెను.

ఇశ్రాయేలు చావవలసిన దినములు సమీపించినప్పుడు అతడు తన కుమారుడైన యోసేపును పిలిపించినా యెడల నీకు కటాక్షమున్నయెడల దయచేసి నీ చెయ్యి నాతొడక్రింద ఉంచి నా యెడల దయను నమ్మకమును కనుపరచుము; ఎట్లనగా నన్ను ఐగుప్తులో పాతిపెట్టకుము.

నా తండ్రి నాచేత ప్రమాణము చేయించిఇదిగో నేను చనిపోవుచున్నాను, కనానులో నా నిమిత్తము సమాధి త్రవ్వించితిని గదా, అందులోనే నన్ను పాతిపెట్ట వలెనని చెప్పెను. కాబట్టి సెలవైతే నేనక్కడికి వెళ్లి నా తండ్రిని పాతిపెట్టి మరల వచ్చెదనని చెప్పుడనెను.
