Deuteronomy 28:62
నీవు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మాట వినలేదు గనుక ఆకాశనక్షత్రములవలె విస్తారములైన మీరు, లెక్కకు తక్కువై కొద్ది మందే మిగిలి యుందురు.

| in number, | מְעָ֔ט | mĕʿāṭ | meh-AT |
| whereas | תַּ֚חַת | taḥat | TA-haht |
| אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER | |
| ye were | הֱיִיתֶ֔ם | hĕyîtem | hay-yee-TEM |
| as the stars | כְּכֽוֹכְבֵ֥י | kĕkôkĕbê | keh-hoh-heh-VAY |
| heaven of | הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-yeem |
| for multitude; | לָרֹ֑ב | lārōb | la-ROVE |
| because | כִּי | kî | kee |
| thou wouldest not | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| obey | שָׁמַ֔עְתָּ | šāmaʿtā | sha-MA-ta |
| the voice | בְּק֖וֹל | bĕqôl | beh-KOLE |
| of the Lord | יְהוָ֥ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| thy God. | אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ | ʾĕlōhêkā | ay-loh-HAY-ha |
