నీవు ఒక పురమును లోపరచుకొనుటకు దానిమీద యుద్ధము చేయుచు అనేక దినములు ముట్టడివేయు నప్పుడు, దాని చెట్లు గొడ్డలిచేత పాడుచేయకూడదు; వాటి పండ్లు తినవచ్చునుగాని వాటిని నరికివేయకూడదు; నీవు వాటిని ముట్టడించుటకు పొలములోని చెట్లు నరులా? అట్టి చెట్లను నీవు కొట్టకూడదు.

And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent.

And Judah	וַיִּנָּ֥גֶף	wayyinnāgep	va-yee-NA-ɡef
was put to the worse	יְהוּדָ֖ה	yĕhûdâ	yeh-hoo-DA
before	לִפְנֵ֣י	lipnê	leef-NAY
Israel,	יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
and they fled	וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ	wayyānusû	va-ya-NOO-soo
every man	אִ֥ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
