Deuteronomy 15:17
నీవు కదురును పట్టుకొని, తలుపు లోనికి దిగునట్లుగా వాని చెవికి దానినిగుచ్చవలెను. ఆ తరువాత అతడు నిత్యము నీకు దాసుడై యుండును. ఆలాగుననే నీవు నీ దాసికిని చేయవలెను.

| aul, an | הַמַּרְצֵ֗עַ | hammarṣēaʿ | ha-mahr-TSAY-ah |
| and thrust | וְנָֽתַתָּ֤ה | wĕnātattâ | veh-na-ta-TA |
| ear his through it | בְאָזְנוֹ֙ | bĕʾoznô | veh-oze-NOH |
| unto the door, | וּבַדֶּ֔לֶת | ûbaddelet | oo-va-DEH-let |
| be shall he and | וְהָיָ֥ה | wĕhāyâ | veh-ha-YA |
| thy servant | לְךָ֖ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| for ever. | עֶ֣בֶד | ʿebed | EH-ved |
| also And | עוֹלָ֑ם | ʿôlām | oh-LAHM |
| unto thy maidservant | וְאַ֥ף | wĕʾap | veh-AF |
| thou shalt do | לַאֲמָֽתְךָ֖ | laʾămātĕkā | la-uh-ma-teh-HA |
| likewise. | תַּֽעֲשֶׂה | taʿăśe | TA-uh-seh |
| כֵּֽן׃ | kēn | kane |
