బబులోనురాజు దండు యెరూషలేముమీదను మిగిలిన యూదా పట్టణములన్నిటిమీదను యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా యెరూషలేములో యూదా రాజైన సిద్కియాకు ఈ మాట లన్నిటిని ప్రక టించుచు వచ్చెను.
