యూదా రాజైన ఉజ్జియా మనుమడును యోతాము కుమారుడునైన ఆహాజు దినములలో సిరియా రాజైన రెజీనును ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజును రెమల్యా కుమారుడునైన పెకహును యుద్ధము చేయవలెనని యెరూషలేముమీదికి వచ్చిరి గాని అది వారివలన కాకపోయెను

భద్రముసుమీ, నిమ్మళించుము; పొగ రాజుచున్న యీ రెండు కొరకంచు కొనలకు, అనగా రెజీనును, సిరియనులు, రెమల్యా కుమారుడును అనువారి కోపాగ్నికి జడియకుము, నీ గుండె అవియ నీయకుము.

ఈ జనులు మెల్లగా పారు షిలోహు నీళ్లు వద్దని చెప్పి రెజీనునుబట్టియు రెమల్యా కుమారునిబట్టియు సంతోషించుచున్నారు.

జనులారా, రేగుడి మీరు ఓడిపోవుదురు; దూరదేశస్థులారా, మీరందరు ఆలకించుడి మీరు నడుము కట్టుకొనినను ఓడిపోవుదురు నడుము కట్టుకొనినను ఓడిపోవుదురు.
