ఆ దినములలో మొర్దెకై రాజు గుమ్మములో కూర్చుని యుండగా రాజుయొక్క యిద్దరు షండులైన బిగ్తాను తెరెషు అను ద్వారపాలకులు కోపగ్రస్తులై రాజైన అహష్వేరోషును చంపుటకు ఆలో చించుకొని యుండిరి.
