హిల్కీయాకును, షాఫాను కుమారుడైన అహీకాముకును, మీకా కుమారుడైన అబ్దోనుకును, శాస్త్రియగు షాఫానుకును, రాజు సేవకుడైన ఆశాయాకును ఈలాగున ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను

అప్పుడు షాఫాను కుమారుడైన అహీకాము కుమారుడగు గెదల్యా ప్రమాణముచేసి వారితోను వారి పటాలపువారితోను ఈలాగు చెప్పెనుమీరు కల్దీయులను సేవించుటకు భయపడకుడి, దేశములో కాపురముండి బబులోనురాజును సేవించినయెడల మీకు మేలు కలుగును.
Jeremiah 40:14
నిన్ను చంపుటకు అమ్మోనీయుల రాజైన బయలీను నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలును పంపెనని నీకు తెలియదా అని చెప్పిరి. అయితే అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యా వారి మాట నమ్మలేదు.
