1 Samuel 13:14
యెహోవా తన చిత్తానుసారమైన మనస్సుగల యొకని కనుగొనియున్నాడు. నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినదాని నీవు గైకొనకపోతివి గనుక యెహోవా తన జనులమీద అతనిని అధిపతినిగా నియమించును.

| hath sought | יְהוָ֨ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| man a him | ל֜וֹ | lô | loh |
| after his own heart, | אִ֣ישׁ | ʾîš | eesh |
| and the Lord | כִּלְבָב֗וֹ | kilbābô | keel-va-VOH |
| commanded hath | וַיְצַוֵּ֨הוּ | wayṣawwēhû | vai-tsa-WAY-hoo |
| him to be captain | יְהוָ֤ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| over | לְנָגִיד֙ | lĕnāgîd | leh-na-ɡEED |
| his people, | עַל | ʿal | al |
| because | עַמּ֔וֹ | ʿammô | AH-moh |
| not hast thou | כִּ֚י | kî | kee |
| kept | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| that | שָׁמַ֔רְתָּ | šāmartā | sha-MAHR-ta |
| which | אֵ֥ת | ʾēt | ate |
| the Lord | אֲשֶֽׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| commanded | צִוְּךָ֖ | ṣiwwĕkā | tsee-weh-HA |
