తరువాత దావీదు సిరియా సంబంధమైన దమస్కులో కావలి సైన్యమును ఉంచెను; సిరియనులు దావీదునకు కప్పముకట్టు సేవకులైరి. ఈ ప్రకారము దావీదు పోయిన చోట్లనెల్ల యెహోవా అతనికి సహాయముచేయుచు వచ్చెను.
