John 18:5
ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਨਾਸਰਤ ਦੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ।” ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਹਾਂ।” ਯਹੂਦਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਥੀ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ।

ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ-ਉਹ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਕਿ ਕੌਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 8:12
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।’” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।

ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨਾਸਰਤ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੇ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਅਖਵਾਏਗਾ।
