Daniel 4:18
“ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ, ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਬੇਲਟਸ਼ੱਸਰ (ਦਾਨੀਏਲ) ਦੱਸ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਅਰਬ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਇਸ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਪਰ ਬੇਲਟਸ਼ੱਸਰ, ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।”

ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਸ ਇਬਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਦਾ ਅਰਬ ਸਮਝਾਉਣ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਾ ਸੱਕੇ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਆ ਗਏ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲਿਖਾਵਟ ਨਾ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਬ ਦਾ ਵਿਵਰਣ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਸੱਕੇ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 41:8
ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਫ਼ਿਕਰਮੰਦ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਿਆ।
ਦਾਨੀ ਐਲ 4:7
ਜਦੋਂ ਜਾਦੂ ਟੂਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਆਏ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕੇ ਕਿ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੀ ਅਰਬ ਸੀ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 41:15
ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਸੁਣਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।”

ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸੋ, ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਅਰਬ ਹੈ।”
ਯਸਈਆਹ 47:12
ਤੂੰ ਜਾਦੂ-ਟੂਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਦੂ-ਟੂਣਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰ। ਸ਼ਇਦ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਁ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 19:3
ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਭੰਬਲ ਭੂਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਧੀਮਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਸੀਹਤ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।”

ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ। ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ ਉੱਥੇ ਅਹੀਯਾਹ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ। ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਇੰਝ ਆਪਣਾ ਭੇਸ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਜਾਵੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਪਛਾਣੇ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਹੈਂ।
