Genesis 37:25
ਜਦੋਂ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਖੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਭਰਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਣ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਲਾ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਸਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੌਲਤਾਂ ਲੱਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ।

ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 37:28
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਿਦਿਯਾਨੀ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਏ, ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ 20 ਸਿੱਕਿਆਂ ਬਦਲੇ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਵਪਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ।

ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਦਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਕਿਤਸੱਕ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਖਮ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏ?

ਮਿਦਿਯਾਨੀ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਾਰਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੋਟੀਫ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 16:11
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਜਰਾ, ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇਂਗੀ। ਤੂੰ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਰੱਖੀਂ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੁਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 14:4
ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ। ਬੁਰੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਚੋਖਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।

ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 39:1
ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੋਟੀਫ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਾਰਦ ਦੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੋਟੀਫ਼ਰ ਹੱਥ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 31:23
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ।

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਹਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਦਰਿਆ ਪਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵੱਲ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।

ਇਹ ਇਸਮਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਨ। ਹਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਛੋਟਾ ਕਸਬਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। 12 ਪੁੱਤਰ 12 ਸ਼ਹਿਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 25:1
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਦੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਟੂਰਾਹ ਸੀ।
