ਤਦ ਆਦਮੀ ਉੱਠੇ। ਦੋਨਾਂ ਟੋਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਲਈ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਗਿਣੇ। ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 12 ਆਦਮੀ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ 12 ਆਦਮੀ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਈਸ਼ਬੋਸ਼ਥ ਲਈ ਲੜਨ ਖਾਤਰ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
