1 ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 ਮੈਂ ਭਲਾ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨੇਮ ਜੋ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਹੀਣ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੀ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚਢ਼ਾਵੇ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੰਦਣ ਲਈ ਇਨਸਾਨੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੀਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ।
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇਕਰ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ।
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚ ਮੁੱਚ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਾਇੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ।
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਸੱਚ ਮੁੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ। ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10 ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਪਾਪ ਕਾਰਣ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ। ਜੇਕਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਚੋਂ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਸ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

12 ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਵਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਉਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵੋਂਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਵੋਂਗੇ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਉਹੀ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੋ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੰਦੇ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿਡਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ, ਆਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ, “ਅੱਬਾ, ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ।”
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤਸਦੀਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ।
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਪਾਵਾਂਗੇ। ਪਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਸਹਿਣੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਹਿਣੇ ਪੈਣਗੇ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇ।
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

18 ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਹੁਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਕਸ਼ਟਮਈ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19 ਪੂਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20 ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਦਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 ਉੱਥੇ ਆਸ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਪਵੇਗੀ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ।
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ, ਇਸ ਪਲ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ, ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਗਰਭਾਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਦ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੌਂਕੇ ਭਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੌਂਕੇ ਭਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਚਨ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਖੁਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੌਂਕੇ ਭਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਦੂਜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਛੁਟਕਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 ਅਸੀਂ ਬਚਾਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਸ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਆਸ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੇਖੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਮੁੱਚ ਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਉਸਦੀ ਆਸ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

25 ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਆਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਹਾਲੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਹਿਜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 ਇਸੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਆਤਮਾ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਖੁਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੌਂਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੀ।
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਆਤਮਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਡੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸੱਦੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ, ਨਿਹਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 ਤਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਉਂਤਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀ ਆਖੀਏ? ਜੇਕਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਹਰਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਝੱਲਣ ਲਈ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਭਲਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਕੌਣ ਲਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 ਕੌਣ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮਰਿਆ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੀ ਜਿਵਾਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 ਕੀ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੋਂ ਜੁਦਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ। ਕੀ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਨਹੀਂ। ਕੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਦੰਡ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜੇਕਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਅੰਨ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਪਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਤੰਗੀਆਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ? ਨਹੀਂ! ਕੀ ਖਤਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਨਹੀਂ।
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ; “ਤੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਖਤਰੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਹਾਂ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਭੇਡ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ।”
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਨਾ ਜੀਵਨ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਤਮਾ, ਨਾ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਜੁਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਨਾ ਉਚਾਈਆਂ, ਜਾਂ ਡੂੰਘਾਈਆਂ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
