Proverbs 10:26
ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸੁਸਤ ਬੰਦੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਓ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਕੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਜਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਪੈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਂਗ, ਖਿਝਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਕਿਸੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਕੇ ਸੁਨਾਉਣਾ ਠੰਢ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਲਾਹੁਣ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੱਟ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਿਰਕਾ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ।
ਅਮਸਾਲ 26:6
ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਨਾ ਘੱਲੋ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਕਟਾਉਣ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ।

“ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬੁਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਲਸੀ ਨੋਕਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਵੱਢਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ, ਜਿੰਨਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ, ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਲਸ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਹੋਕੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹੋ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਲਸੀ ਬਣੋ। ਅਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਬਣੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਾਦਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਬਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਇਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 65:5
ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ‘ਮੇਰੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਾ ਆਉਣਾ! ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਹਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ!’ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੂਏਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਲਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।”
