ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਸੱਤ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੁਣੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਦਿਨੀ, ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੱਧਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਅੰਤਰਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਸਨ, ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

ਉਸ ਦਿਨ, ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਵੀ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਲੋਕੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਗਾਤਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸੁਝਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੰਧ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਮੱਗ੍ਰੀ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਭਾਲੀ। ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਿਂਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਤੇ ਬੜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ।
੧ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ 3:10
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰੱਖ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਲੈਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨੁਕਸ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਹਾਇਕਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਦਯਾ ਲਈ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਭਰੋਸੇਮੰਦ ਹੈ, ਉਸਤੇ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਇਮਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਤਖਤਪੋਸ਼ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਖਾਸ ਮੰਤਵ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮੱਤੀਬਯਾਹ, ਸ਼ਮਆ, ਅਨਾਯਾਹ, ਊਰੀਯਾਹ, ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮਆਸੇਯਾਹ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਦਾਯਾਹ, ਮੀਸ਼ਾਏਲ, ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ, ਹਾਸ਼ੁਮ, ਹਸਬਦ੍ਦਾਨਾਹ, ਜਕਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਸ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਸਨ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 3:30
ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਸਲਮਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਨੂਨ, ਸਾਲਾਫ ਦੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾ ਨੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਬਰਕਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੱਸ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਉਹ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਵੰਧ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਨਨਯਾਹ ਲੇਵੀ ਹਾਕਮ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਮਈ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਮਈ ਕਾਨਨਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ।

ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਉਸਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਨਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਯੋਗ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਨ।”
