Matthew 26:37
ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਪਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਬੜਾ ਉਦਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਕਰਾਰ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਚੇਲੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਤਰਸ ਕਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮਾਛੀ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਜਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੌਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰਨਾ “ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਮਈ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਕਹਾਂ, ‘ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਦੀ ਘੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ?’ ਨਹੀਂ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
