Mark 1:4

ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੌਬਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਏਨੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਏਨੋਨ ਸਾਲਿਮ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ। ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉੱਥੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਲੋਕਾ 3:2
ਅਨਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਕਯਾਫ਼ਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ, ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ।
