Leviticus 11:45
ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਾਂ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ।”

“ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਮਂਨਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ;

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਲੋਕੀਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਆ ਗਏ।
ਅਹਬਾਰ 11:44
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਿਸਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਸ਼ੈਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੀਤ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਉ।
ਅਹਬਾਰ 25:38
ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ।

ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਬੱਚਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੱਦਿਆ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਿਆ। ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਪ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਵੀਏ।
