Judges 9:1
ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਯਰੁੱਬਆਲ (ਗਿਦਾਊਨ) ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਾਚਿਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਪਦਮ ਅਰਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 34:2
ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਮੋਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੇ ਦੀਨਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਵਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਬਲਾਤਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਸੋ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਵੇਂ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਮੋਹ ਲਏ।
੧ ਸਲਾਤੀਨ 12:1
ਰਾਜਸੀ ਫੁੱਟ ਨਾਬਾਟ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭੱਜਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਖਬਰ ਮਿਲੀ, ਉਹ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਯਹਰਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜਿਆ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੇ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਿਆ।

ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ, ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਖੁਦ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ,

ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਮੁੜ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭਜਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਮਗਰ ਨਾ ਲੱਗਾ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 83:2
ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਖੁਫ਼ੀਆਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 18:18
ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਚੌਥੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਓ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਘੜੀੇ। ਯਕੀਨਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਗੁੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਨਸੀਹਤ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਓ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਝੂਠ ਆਖੀਏ। ਇਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਕੋਈ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ।”
