ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਰਾਏ ਗਏ ਰਾਜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਅਰਨੋਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਰਮੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ, ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਰਾਇਆ ਸੀ:

ਯਸ਼ਵਾ 22:4
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ।

ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਦਾ ਸੇਈਰ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਹਾਲਾਕ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਰਮੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਬਆਲ ਗਾਦ ਤੀਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਯਸ਼ਵਾ 11:3
ਯਬੀਨ ਨੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਦੇ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਹਿੱਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਫ਼ਰਿੱਜ਼ੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਯਬੂਸੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਫ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹਰਮੋਨ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਿੱਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
ਯਸ਼ਵਾ 1:15
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੂਸਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।”

ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਰਨੋਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਰੋਏਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੀਹੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ (ਹਰਮੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ) ਤੱਕ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਨੀ “‘ਅਰਨੋਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੀਹੋਨ ਅਮੋਰੀ, ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾਉ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਝਾ ਦੇਵੋ।
