Jeremiah 34:1
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਉਦੋਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜੰਗ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵੀ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਬੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਦ ਹੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾਂਗਾ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ। “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਆਵਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਖਤ ਸਬਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।

ਰਾਜਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋ। ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ, ਸ਼ਕਤੀ, ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 32:2
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਗਾਰਦ ਦੇ ਵਰਾਂਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੈਦ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਵਰਾਂਡਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੀ।

ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਸਨ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਸੀ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਬਨਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਨਾ ਬਨਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ-ਮਹ੍ਹਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ।

ਰਾਜਨ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੈਂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਲੰਮੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਛੁੰਹਦਾ ਸੀ-ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੁਕਰਾਂ ਤਾਈਂ ਫ਼ੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਰੁੱਖ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਕੌਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਲੀ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੁਬਾਰਕਾਂ:
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 52:4
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ 10 ਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਸੀ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਣ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 39:1
ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਤਨ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਹੋਇਆ: ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਕਾਲ ਦੇ 9ਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ 10ਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 34:7
ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵੀ ਲੜ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੀਕ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸਨ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ੇਕਾਹ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹੀ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕਿਲਾਬੰਦ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 27:5
ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
੨ ਤਵਾਰੀਖ਼ 36:12
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਪਰ ਤਦ ਵੀ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹਲੀਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
੨ ਸਲਾਤੀਨ 25:1
ਹੁਣ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਪਰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਆ ਸੱਕਣ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਬਣਾਈ।
