Jeremiah 32:16
ਮੈਂ ਸੌਦੇ ਦੀ ਨਕਲ ਨੇਰੀਆਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ:

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ “ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 12:1
ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ! ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਪਦੀਆਂ। ਮਾੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ? ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੌਖਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ?

ਕਾਸੇ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਪਰ ਹਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪੁੱਛਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਸਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰੋ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਤਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਇੰਨਾ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈਂ? ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੰਨਾ ਅਹਮ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਇੰਨੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?

ਉਹ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਬਾਗ਼ੇ ਅਦਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੋਕ ਬਚਾਉ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।’”
